I have one of his books. His recipes are quite elaborate, with many steps and phases, designed to layer flavors.

I'll have to look through the book and make something in his honor.

Not being much of a "foodie", chef or anything of the sort, I did appreciate his talents.
One of the greats, for sure.

2015 minus 1945 is 70.

No big deal, he was a great chef who cooked food from an areas I love.

It just seems to be a misprint.

Yeah, I think that the misprint was when it was disclosed that he had an unknown illness. It supposedly was a brief illness.

But the toxicology report should reveal what he actually died from. I know that he was obese and at times, he couldn't walk. Most of the time when he was on TV cooking, he would be sitting down.

Still, he was a jolly man in good spirits, doing what he loved to do best - cooking! :bbq3:
