Instant Email Notification-- How to Change

Someone brought up something that they wanted to change. The instant email notification. its set at default to send them.

I wound up with over 400+ emails because I didnt turn it off!

Sooooo.... if you havent changed it yet, this is how ya do it!

To turn it off go to User CP on the upper left corner, then go to Edit options. Scroll down to Messaging & Notification. Under that heading go to "Default Thread Subscription Mode" and change the setting to ""no email notification".


So, there ya go!

I would suggest you subscribe with no email notification or with one daily notification. If you set it not to subscribe you will sometimes loose track of a thread you replied to.

It is easy to unsubscribe if you get in a thread that ends up emailing you lots of notifications. Just go to usercp and click on subscribed threads and modify that ones that need it. Lots of flexibility.
