I'm probably going to do a repeat for lunch (chicken salad).
I'm thinking chili for dinner, and grilled cheese.
DIL says make what you are in the mood for, I'll eat it.

I made it a little on the soupy side, but it's delicious and was great for dipping the grilled cheese.

I just had corn flakes with blueberries.
Lunch will likely be leftover chili and saltines.
Dinner will possibly be breakfasty in nature.
Eggs and sausage?

I made Tennessee Pride sausage patties and cheese and onion omelets.
The pics weren't good, Aimee was hungry so we ate in front of the tv.

I put some maple syrup all over my plate.
Her reaction: what are you dooooing?
Me: try it, you'll like it.
She did.

We had country-style pork ribs braised in apple cider, apple cider vinegar, chicken stock, and mirepoix, plus mashed potatoes and green beans.

I have no clue what I'll be having for dinner.
I'm so used to cooking for 2-4 others and now it's just me and Aimee.
If she's going to grab something while she's working, she lets me know.
I can choose to cook or not.

Freedom baby! I might as well get used to it as soon I'll be on my own again.

I made pea soup with ham and carrots, and ate four bowls.
It was good. DD made zucchini cake, with cream cheese icing.

Chowder mentioned Pepperidge Farm bread, so I sped off to the kitchen and toasted some strawberry swirl.

Last night was stove top grilled London Broil, Trader Joe's Pappardelle noodles and steamed broccoli.

I used a new seasoning on the steak:
Back of the Yards Garlic Pepper Butcher's Rub:
Tellicherry black pepper, garlic, Kosher flake salt, sugar, red bell peppers, shallots, parsley.
Plus my house blend seasoning.

I cooked the noodles then tossed in a mixture of beef broth, undiluted cream of mushroom soup, sour cream and sautéed baby bella mushrooms and onion.

Tonight was pan grilled sausages, sauteed zucchini, steamed brocc/cauliflower and garden fresh beans with bacon ends.
Delicious!
