Smothered Chops

4 - large pork chops
1 - Large can stewed tomatoes
1 - Lemon
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Mustard powder
Coarse ground black pepper

Use a skillet that you can cover.

Lay chops out on a plate or in a marinator.
Slice lemon, and squeeze juice over chops
sprinkle chops with onion powder, garlic powder, mustard powder, and black pepper.
Let sit for 1/2 hour
Lightly brown chops in skillet
Add stewed tomatoes, simmer til chops are cooked through.

good served with suaerkraut, spatzle, gnocci

Sounds good. ...and I don't even know what spatzle and gnocci are? I should learn a thing or two from this forum. It should help get a lot of us out of that old rut.
