What's cooking Sunday 11/13/16 to Saturday 11/19/16?

The process is still in the works.
I am making soupy chicken (and rice) in the crock pot.
Chicken thighs, cream of celery and chicken soup, onion,garlic, poultry seasoning.
Will be served over Minute Rice.
I hate cooking this late.

I should have started this a lot sooner than I did.
I added some tarragon as well last minute.
Very tasty, but I only had one thigh and some rice.
Leftovers don'tcha know..

Breakfast was Maple and brown sugar oatmeal with raisins and blackstrap molasses added.
Not sure lunch yet but probably baby greens salad with tuna on top.
Dinner plan - I have a whole cut up chicken thawing. I'm thinking of putting 1 breast and the wings aside for chicken and dumplings or pot pie.
The other pieces I will roast with green pepper, onion, mushrooms, garlic, burgundy wine, herbs, spices and crushed tomatoes.

Three Birthdays close together, so we all met at our favorite Tuscan eatery last night....
I had the seared Octopus Appetizer (Again!)
Followed by a huge serving of Cacciucco...
The Warden chose the inevitable Fried Calamari ...

Planning to make Salisbury steak, onion gravy, mashed potatoes or noodle side and green beans tonight.
Lobster bisque and wood grilled shrimp tacos, from Red Lobster.
That was actually more like linner (3pm'ish), you know, those in-between dining hours.

Change of plans last night........ was very low on Bisquick so the Sloppy Jose' Bake became Sloppy Joe's........
Tonight will be Mac 'n Cheese, Broccoli, and the pepper slaw...

I think I'll eat something from the menu at work.
Either fish (always on Friday or mac and cheese).. or perhaps that lovely beef stew, what they submerge a biscuit in!

I chose the beef stew w/biscuit at work last night.
Always good and very nice for nursing home fare.
Tonight I made halibut fillets which I found at Meijer grocery in their great fresh fish and seafood section.
I used Hidden Valley Ranch dry seasoning, mixed with bread crumbs and butter, then baked.
Canned green beans too.
Guess no one cooked today?
