Angel Chicken (SLOW COOKER)

6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (about 1 ½ lbs)
1 10 ¾ oz can condensed golden mushroom soup
1 8oz pkg sliced fresh white or shitake mushrooms
½ c dry white wine
½ of an 8 oz tub cream cheese with chives & onion
¼ c butter
1 0.7 oz pkg Italian dry salad dressing mix
Hot cooked rice or angel hair pasta
Snipped fresh chives (optional)

Place chicken and mushrooms in 3 ½ or 4 qt slow cooker. In medium saucepan, melt butter; stir in Italian dressing mix. Stir in soup, white wine and cream cheese til combined. Pour over chicken.
Cover; cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
Serve chicken and sauce over cooked rice or pasta. If desired, sprinkle with chives. Makes 6 servings.

I used white button mushrooms and sliced them really thick (a good 1/4" thick). Turned out to be a good idea cause they got just barely done without getting rubbery. Also, I put some chicken bouillon in the water when I boiled the angel hair pasta for extra flavor.
