My boss told me about this recipe, which raised my eyebrows until I tried it - DELICIOUS! Honestly, it's very beefy-tasting, not at all like Chef Boy R Dee-tasting!

And easy!

I made it as written (well, I used a whole onion and 2 cloves of garlic) and it's a keeper!

Wish the photo wasn't so dark.

Beef with Ravioli Dumplings

3 T. flour
1 teas. salt
dash pepper
1 pound stew beef, in chunks
2 T. cooking oil
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic
1/2 teas. dried oregano
1 10-oz. package of frozen peas
1 15-oz can beef ravioli in sauce
2 T. snipped parsley

Shake beef chunks in a bag of flour, salt and pepper till well coated. Brown quickly in hot oil, then put in crockpot. Saute onions and garlic a few minutes until soft, and add to crock. Add 1 cup water, cover, and cook on low 8 to 10 hours.

Turn crock to high. Run water over frozen peas to separate and stir into beef mixture. Add can of beef Chef Boy R Dee ravioli and parsley. Cover and cook till heated through, another 30 minutes or so.

Makes 4 servings.

interestink twix . . . is that ye olde' ordinary in tomato sauce (beef) ravioli?

The very same, CMan! I know, I couldn't believe it, either. In a CAN!

I suggested that I use a better quality frozen ravioli, but my boss said I had to try it this way.

Glad I did, LOL! I like it SO much better than potatoes in beef stew!
