I have only had grape leaves stuffed with rice as "dolma".

The cooking technique for these stuffed vegs. is interesting - boiling them! I would have thought baking them or even steaming them would be easier.

Have you made these yourself, Saliha?

Yes I have done dolma by that recipe but I love much more Iraqi dolma.

Recipe for it I haven´t. I wish that some my friends some day give it to me...

I lived in Adana for 18 months in 1971-72 while in the US Air Force, and thoroughly enjoyed the local food. Sadly, I remember few dishes aside from the kebabs. Adana kebab and Doner Kebab were mid-day favorites when I would go into town on my days off, and breakfast was always ekmek (bread) from the stone oven of the local bakeries, and a jar of milk that still had the cream floating on top.
Çay or Turkish coffee were other favorite beverages, along with baklava and pistachio ice cream (fistik dondurma) for dessert..

Ooooh pistachio ice cream. I stayed few times in the Middle East before and remember that ice cream...
