Yes, my daughter who loses plastic containers has taken a fancy to drinking dirty martinis.

What kind of glasses do you think would be a nice birthday gift for her to use at home - a plain set of a few glasses? Something super-big? Something personalized and colorful?

Thanks

It's entirely a matter of personal taste and preference, CM.

I like simple, elegant, plain martini glasses, with thin rims. Let the drink shine, not the glass.

But if your daughter likes colorful and fanciful, there are sure lots of glasses that fit that bill!

Maybe get four, all different.

What are dirty martinis?

Glasses?????? Bushmills doesn't care what glass you put it in.

Like Lee said, the glasses should be what she likes.

Maybe get plain glasses and, for when she's in the mood, a set of these to add some bling:

The proper Martini - Fill shaker with ice. Shake. until it's frosty from condensation on the outside.

Pour ice out and water (from melting ice) out.

Add new ice.
Add one cup dry vermouth. shake it up, coat all sufaces, shatter some ice and make sure it's coated.
Pour it out through a strainer.

Add the amount of Saphire Gin you want.
Roll the shaker, do not shake.

Pour into Martini glass, neat.
Add a spear with 3 olives, pour in 1/2 tsp of olive juice.

Martini glasses should be crystal, long stem, wide top but not fancy etchings.

Today would be a great day for a dirty martini - I'll have one of Fred's!
