Barbecue Sauce

Barbecue Sauce
(makes about one quart)
1 medium onion, minced
4 tablespoons margarine
1 bottle (20-24 oz.) ketchup
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon Sriracha
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons strong brewed coffee
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
2 tablespoons dark beer

Melt margarine in a medium-sized sauce pan and sauté onions until transparent.
Add remaining ingredients in order, stirring constantly, and simmer for about an hour
over very low flame (until thickened) over medium heat. Allow to cool and refrigerate.

This is a great mop sauce.
