My Grams used to make Vernors ice cream floats. Ewwww!
Lol
We were forced to drink either that or Canada Dry when we had tummy upsets.

Sass- A Vernor's Ice Cream Float is called a Boston Cooler.
Never with Canadian Dry.
"First sold in 1866, Vernors is the oldest soda in the US."
"The Boston Cooler -- Vernors and vanilla ice cream -- is named after Boston Boulevard in central Detroit and the surrounding historic area. It’s where Henry Ford and Berry Gordy lived, so back off, other Boston."

Lucky, are you just tired of Romaine, or is there another reason you want to get something different for your nightly salad?

Med, that chicken and stuffing casserole sounds terrific!

...Just tired of it, QSis -

Bought a big "Head" of it.... thought I might try grilling it like I've seen on TV, but then thought, who's gonna help me eat it ?? :bonk:

So I started Whittling it down each night for my salad..... after five nights, I'm ready for Iceberg, Bib, Butter, anything for a change...

Sausage and peppers tonight, and a new recipe I found for Cauliflower 'Steak', with Turmeric..... I've only utilized Turmeric in soups, so this should be interesting...

And that a great suggestion !:a1: as long as I don't have to take a month's supply :thumb:

Needed Scallions for Peeps' noodles the other day...... had to buy three times what I actually needed..... managed to use them tho' in salads and on the Salmon last night.....

BTW C-Man; Had bones to deal with last night, but much easier to handle than in that Trout, lol !

Last night was burger and steamed baby spinach.
Tonight will probably be London broil, mashed potatoes and green beans. Maybe a Thai salad with bean curd and homemade peanut dressing.

...fish bones - yuppers, the steaks are much easier.

on the trout, I showed DW how to avoid the little bones around the dorsal fin - chopping into those is not a recommended mouthful. I cut the pectoral fins off before cooking - so typically the 'fishbone' lifts right out once you've cleaved the meat from one side.

THX, QSis ;
Sweet Italian Rope, cut into 1" bullets, then split ... cooked in Cast-Iron, in 1/2" of water... usually, they are done when the water is gone, at which point they get that nice sear...

Lord Knows what this evening will bring, although on second thought, there's burger in the freeze that needs to be optioned out....

Thanks. No recipe for either dish though this time. Craig came up with the brussel sprout dish and several variations thereof. The potatoes and ribs are a combo of something my mother and his grandmother made,
