What to do with lots of buckeyes? Our buckeye trees are droppign them like crazy. We go bombed by the trees while gathering these buckeyes.

They're really pretty.

If your wife is kind of artsy/creative, she can use them in some kind of decor thing. Clean them up and spray them with a clear protective coat of spray paint and then layer them in a tall, clear glass vase, maybe with some cranberries or red Christmas tree balls for Christmas. She could also use them in a tall, clear vase for arranging dried flowers.

Believe it or not, people actually sell them.

If you're talking about eating them, I don't have a clue.

buckeyes aka horse chestnuts - the husks are toxic, the nut meat inside is edible aka non-toxic but (a) it's really hard to get out and (b) totally not good tasting . . .

conkers - that'll start a new neighborhood rage . . .

Thanks all.
No, not considering eating them.
Daughter one requested enough for a wreath much like peeps posted (thanks peeps). And Daughter number 2 likes to make buckeye necklaces for her and her friends to take to Ohio State Tailgating and to the game if she has a ticket.
