Fried Cheese sandwich, Ala monte cristo
makes one sandwich
1 thick slice Kraft or Velveeta Cheese
2 Slices Sandwich Bread
1 Egg, beaten
Seasoned Bread Crumbs
Oil for frying
Pre-heat oil (about 1/2 to 3/4 inch deep) to 350 ºF. in a pan which is at least 2 inches
deep.
Put cheese between slices of bread and dip whole thing in the beaten egg batter...
then in the bread crumbs... then fry in oil, turning as needed, until whole sandwich is
brown.
Drain on paper towels
BTW: It may be more convenient to cut the sandwich in half diagonally before
dipping in batter.
