Ingredients
3 extra large eggs (slightly beaten)
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter (melted)
1 cup dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup Jack Daniel's Whiskey
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup pecan halves
1 unbaked 10-inch pie shell

Procedure
In a medium bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, butter, syrup, vanilla, and Jack Daniel's. Mix well. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the bottom of the unbaked pie shell and add the pecans. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a knife inserted about halfway between the center and the edge come clean. Set aside to cool. (Yield: 6 to 8 servings).

Except for the Jack Daniels this is similar to my grandmothers pecan pie.

I think it is better WITHOUT the chocolate.

Bump.

I road past Miss Bobo's in Lynchburg, TN when I was competing at the Jack Daniel's Invitational Barbecue Competition a few years ago.

I wish I'd had the chance to drop in there - my BBQ friends rave about the food!

I think I'll try this recipe this month - yes, without the chocolate.

Thanks for the post, Jim!
