About a pound of lamb and one package of mushroom gnocchi from Trader Joe's.

My roommate doesn't like either thing, so I'm going to make something with them this weekend.

Ideas?

Butter, brown lamb, add in fine julienne of yellow onion, a little garlic, 'shrooms and caramelize, de-glaze with red wine, add fresh chopped rosemary and parsley and finish with butter. Add in gently poached gnocchi and toss lightly. Finish with a little bit of goats cheese, or parm.

Oh, Uncle Ralph!!! This was WONDERFUL!!!

I did as you said, but didn't have mushrooms, so I added a can of diced tomatoes. And a cup of beef broth. Let it simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

Served over the gnocchi and I was in heaven! I've never had gnocchi before and I love it! I'm sure I'd swoon over homemade gnocchi!

Thanks for the help!

Awesome!!! SO glad I could help, it looks great!

Gnocchi are one of my ALL TIME faves, I have done them a million and six ways. The way I recommended to you was a way I had had them, but with wild boar, SO rich and comforting, also goes great with a rag noodle/papperadelle.

Glad everything went well!
