Pugs are good deleters. I started making cookies for the pugs after the scare on pet treats from China years back. One of our old pugs (we had 4 before the 2 we have now that all lived to ripe old ages) figured out what the smell was that meant they were getting cookies. She'd start chuffing as soon as I opened the containers of baby food that I use to make them. Once they came out of the oven and were cooling, she'd sit on the floor right in front of the counter and watch to make sure nobody else got any before she did and would chuff every couple of minutes until they cooled enough that she could have a couple. She'd bounce when she chuffed and would get progressively louder. We video'd her once and it still makes us LOL.
The tail biting thing nearly happened here yesterday, except in reverse. Our little black pug was sitting in my lap and the kitty wanted attention too so she was on the arm of the chair and slapping him in the face with her tail while she was walking back and forth on the arm while I was petting her. He decided she was trying to get him to play so he was going to chomp on her tail. Fortunately, since I didn't want all out war on my lap, I was able to keep him from getting a good hold on it.
