N. 28 Napoli Pizzeria NYC

Apparently, timing is everything. Our sojourn across the Brooklyn Bridge to Grimaldis was put off, yet again. Tons of traffic getting into Manhattan, subways not moving right, and a decided late start...

Jonesing for pizza, though..we got off the subway at W4 and walked towards Bleeker. We found N.28 Napoli, brick oven pizza. We are huge fans of the brick oven. Huge.

Hmmmmmm.....why do I envision "Lance, the gay cross dressing chicken" (see thread "can't eat this one") pointing his finger (talon?) and mocking you from the other side of the bridge?

Probably because it's true! The first time we tried we ran into timing delays as well...and ended up at Lombardis in SoHo.

It was soooo breezy sitting out there, too...and the sauce was really just crushed fresh tomatoes...

That beige shirt Lou has on in the picture ....has about a dozen tomato flecks on the left side. He lifted the slice and the breeze blew the sauce all over him.

He was not pleased.. But he did love the pizza.
