whisk egg, milk, & seasonings together. add flour until you have a very thick, smooth batter.
allow dough to relax. after about an hour, use a (non-plastic!) colander over a pot of salted, boiling h20, & use a spoon to push the dough through the holes. when the spaetzle float, simmer for a few miunutes, drain, & butter them.
