Here’s our Turkey Day gluttonous affair!

Green Bean Casserole (I LIVE for this!!!).

09_Green_Bean.jpg

Ham in a Crock pot with Pineapples, Cherry, Strawberries, and Brown Sugar (cool huh). Cooked for 6 hours on high.

Turkey (8.5 lbs), injected with Cajun Butter, and smoked for 6 hours with Cherry wood. Turkey was stuffed with chunk pineapple. Smoke temp was 225-250 for the duration. Pulled at 163 on thigh and rested for 15 minutes in foil.

Well, there is only two of us so……come dinner time, we shared this. We just piled the biggest plate we had high, a fork each, and we ate side-by-side until we couldn’t work the remote. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Date Plate from hell:
Ham, Turkey, Green Bean Casserole, Mac & Cheese, Mashed Potatoes & Loaded Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Stuffing, Yams, and Deviled eggs…….and…….a roll.

Holy Sh!tski Keltin!! :applause::lol:

I brought home some green bean casserole because I didn't get to it, I didn't get to a LOT of things at our family Tday feast.
My sister in law insisted I put lots of left overs in containers to bring home with me, I did.
That'll be tomorrow's lunch and dinner!

Someone needs to make a Thanksgiving Day Leftovers thread lol

Oh, leftovers, we definitely need that thread!!!

I’m thinking Turkey Salad for one dish, and a muffin sized turkey pot pie we saw on Food Network not long ago.

Personally, as long as I get some Green Bean Casserole, I’m happy. Maybe I’m weird, but dang, I love that stuff!!! It’s my fav!! There’s never enough leftovers of green bean casserole!!

I've got a recipe for turkey lasagna I think I'm going to try.
I made a double batch of green bean casserole and there were only 7 of us! My son and I love it!! My grandson is starting to like it too.....

okay, 7am....and I'm ready for leftovers after looking at Keltin's plate!

Good morning everyone...I still have a few pictures in the camera. Eventually, it got too hectic in the kitchen to keep posting. I'll get them on here soon.

My kitchen is a mess.

Pix look great, everyone! I had too many people here and too much going on to take very many pictures, but here's the turkey fresh from the oven. It's the first time I've made a 20-pounder, and it came out beautifully  Mmmmmm, crispy skin for the cook!

Sorry guys I passed out at 10!!!! Haven't gone to bed that early in a very long time!!! Heres a pic of my dinky little poundcake...but I must say everyone loved it  as well as the green bean casserole I brought (forgot to take pics) Keltin I have to agree that green bean casserole is the easiest thing on this planet to make but something about it with all those crunchy onions on top is OH SO YUMMY!!! For some reason many at dinner were acting like they have never had something like it before! LOL

Keltin and GG those turkey's look FABULOUS!!! I wish I could reach through the screen and get some!! The color on your Keltic it completely PERFECT!! We as well made a pretty big bird...22 lbs, we tried to get even bigger but that was it, and there were barely any left overs with that!
I'll post pics later today of my leftover plate ;) I almost can't wait to eat again! lol, but I just wish I had enough turkey for sandwiches this week.......oh well

Everyone's food looks fantastic!!

My day kinda fell apart. I didn't even get a pic of the turkey.

Clams Casino

Turkey, dressing (celery, onion, walnuts, mushrooms, fresh herbs - sage, rosemary, thyme, butter, chicken stock and seasoned cubes), red, yukon and white potatoes mashed (with sour cream, butter, a bit of 1/2 & 1/2 and chives), steamed asparagus (topped with butter and grated romano and parmesan cheeses) and homemade cranberry, tangerine and pecan relish.

And here is my entry!! First up was a cranberry walnut salad and squash soup served in the shell of the squash. After that came the herb encrusted Cornish Hen stuffed with a wild rice stuffing (everyone got their own). It was served with green bean casserole, creamed corn and oyster casserole, and sweet potato casserole. Dessert was an apple pie made by the wife accompanied with French vanilla ice cream. Sorry the pie fell apart while trying to plate it! LOL. The dinner rolls were homemade as well, from Joe's recipe. I tried really hard not to mess them up, but did anyway LOL! Thanks to Joe they turned out way better than anything I have made before, I just messed up somewhere and they ended up more like biscuits, IE heavier than dinner rolls.
And here are the pics, better than the cell phone pics but still not as good as I want them to be:
