Windows 7 pricing announced

Windows 7 is set to release on October 22 of this year.

Home Editions is $199 for the full version, and $119 for an upgrade from Vista or XP.

Professional Editions is $299 for the full version, and $199 for an upgrade.

The Ultimate edition is $319 with an upgrade priced at $219.

If you preorder between June 25th and July 11th, you’ll get a discount of more than 50%.

Personally, I’ll stick with XP for a little while longer. :wink:

There are still some chinks in the chain to be worked out with Windows Vista.

I'm sticking with XP for now at least on the office system. As for my home unit I'm planing early next year on replacing it and then will give Win 7 a shot but will keep my XP in case it doesn't work out.

Both of my laptops have Windows Vista.

It DID have some chinks in the chain, but i think they've all been eliminated now.
