DIL likes wild, colourful stuff lol

Tonight I'm making 2 chicken pot pies, one for us and one for my eldest son.
He's supposed to swing by and pick it up on his way home from work.

Dad was craving seafood, so we went to an upscale seafood restaurant last night. I forgot my camera, but Dad had an order of Littleneck clams and fried scrod.

I had incredible sesame-crusted seared tuna, rare (raw) that raised the bar for ahi tuna for me.

This is exactly what it looked like, though my portion was a bit larger than this one. The mixed vegs. in the picture were the same as on my plate as well, and they were wonderful. I didn't care for the plain jamine rice, which is just as well since I'm low-carbing these days.

The pies turned out nice like they usually do.
Jeff was very happy.
No pics, because you already know what they look like.

I'm thinking I'll retire the Fry Daddy..... Too much effort without an audience or Sous Chef to help with clean-up...

Last night's Shell-Feast ...

Clam Appy, Surimi Salad (Carried In), Fried Oysters, Hush Puppies, Steamed Asparagus with Grated Parmesan...

LT, which are the fried oysters? They are among the few shellfish dishes I love!

No clue as to what to make tonight for supper.

LT, I guess I've retired my Fry Daddy too, haven't used it in more than a year.

Skipped lunch today, so very early dinner: frozen crab cake, which was pretty good, stuffed baked tomato, which was best thing on the plate, and some yellow squash, which I have all the time and love:

We had stuffed artichokes, pan fried London broil, mushroom caps sautéed in the steak drippings and a splash of Maggi sauce and tater tots.
