Buttered Radishes

Put a dozen or so trimmed radishes in a saucepan; cover with water.
Bring to a boil and cook till crisp-tender, about 7 minutes.

Peel one small red onion and slice, then separate into ringlets
In a skillet, Lightly saute the onion in butter.
Add the radishes and mix well with the onion.

Remove to a serving dish and season to taste with salt, pepper and Paprika, and a little more butter.

Radishes are also good just sliced in half. raw, and spread with a little softened butter, then a sprinkle of salt.

I plant French Breakfast rads in the spring and get lots of them - always looking for new ways to have them.

Thanks, Lucky!

I have never tried cooking radishes..

One of my favorite things in the world is Radish sandwiches.

sliced radishes, butter and salt on bread... yummy..

Oh, I cook 'em all the time.......
when I do a brisket or pork roast, any time you'd normally put potatoes, carrots, etc. around the meat in the pan !

I get these big'ns at the Korean Grocery, bigger than golf balls, some of 'em...........
When I boil off some Brussels Sprouts, in goes some radishes........

Interesting, lt. I've only grown & eaten them raw with salt.
I never thought about cooking them in any way. I like the thought of roasting them with pots & carrots.
Thanks
