Most alarming to me is the inevitability that these voracious farmed salmon will escape and compete with wild salmon for dwindling food supplies in the northern Pacific. What will this do to current salmon fisheries, and why aren't other agencies, e.g., Dept. of Interior/Fish and Wildlife involved in these decisions? Bad, bad. bad.

There are lots of things we eat that hybrid, corn for one. I was looking at some farm raised U16 black tiger shrimp today, a sign of the future. Like farm raised abalone small but affordable.
