We'll be having rotisserie grilled chicken wings and a spicy smoked sweet potato salad (new recipe that looks really good).

Corn on the cob from a new store Tina found in Califon, NJ. It's called "AQUI"
It took the place of an old A&P supermarket that it no longer in business!

I have ground beef for burgers on the grill. It cooled down from yesterday.
Good appetite weather. 60 degrees and cloudy.

Rotisserie grilled chicken wings with a spicy smoked sweet potato salad. The new recipe came out really good, but will get a little tweaking for our tastes.

No grilling today.
Son brought home ducklings to raise until they're pond ready, then he got called to tow in Battle Creek, Michigan, I went on my hospice calls, so DIL put the elusive pork loin in.
It'll be a late dinner.

Roast pork loin, baby carrots, taters, onions.
I dumped some Stubb's sauce on mine.
Tender and delicious.

Marinated, then reverse seared tri-tip. Yummy! Sides were garlic mashed potatoes and country green beans.

The marinade is a 40+ year old recipe from my mother, onions sauteed in vege oil, then ketchup, yellow mustard, brown sugar, worchestershire, s and p, added and cooked together, cooled, then meat marinaded for at least 24 hours.

(long story ending in....) we ducked out for a quick dinner. local diner - nothing fancy - DW had been there with the Hen Party Gang for breakfast & lunch....

disaster. she had meatloaf; came home in a box for the dog. mashed potato soup.

I had baked ribs w/ sauce - which were good - falling off the bone but for eating out, that makes a more neater mess than having to pick them up....
sides were a disaster. pureed cole slaw; pasta salad aka rigatoni dripping with italian salad dressing . . .

dinner rolls - warm and rock hard top&bottom - it was a hard two hander to tear them open.

note to self: eat at home . . .

We had authentic street tacos last night from the little place here in town.
I had both chicken and beef.
Lots of cilantro and lime.

That all looks good medtran.
My Grandmother used to make the country green beans all the time.
They were a staple at Sunday dinners.

We got a late invite to a Backyard event (Combo; Memorial Day / Graduation)
so the Shrimps sat ... They will go into A Vodka Sauce for tonight...

About 8:00 last evening I began to realize that I should have eaten more there.... The Warden was okay, so I made myself Breakfast for a late Dinner...

Yesterday Memorial Day
First picture is a cheese burger (I couldn't decide between a chili burger or a regular; so I had both) with Nathan's chili sauce & raw onion on one side and ketchup and pickles on the other half.

Second picture is clock wise - burger, B&M baked beans (doctored with my homemade BBQ rub), homemade potato salad (potatoes cooked in Instant Pot for 4 minutes, perfect), 2 bean salad, hot dog with sauerkraut, and pasta salad (no mayo) in center by burger.

I made a really good homemade stir-fry for dinner.
Chicken, carrots, kale, snow peas, broccoli using Kikkoman stir-fry sauce.
Wasn't too sure about the kale, but it worked.

I have no clue what's for dinner. It's so hot in here I don't even want to eat. I may ask DD to pick up take-out or something to cook in microwave or Instant Pot (not sure I even want to sit in kitchen to prep anything).

I'll stop and get stuff for burgers and pasta salad on my way home from work.
Easy enough.
