They're really pretty.
If your wife is kind of artsy/creative, she can use them in some kind of decor thing. Clean them up and spray them with a clear protective coat of spray paint and then layer them in a tall, clear glass vase, maybe with some cranberries or red Christmas tree balls for Christmas. She could also use them in a tall, clear vase for arranging dried flowers.
Believe it or not, people actually sell them.
If you're talking about eating them, I don't have a clue.
