Was pulling into their parking lot when the Warden asked if I'd remembered my camera.......RATZ!......... and boy, did I regret it !!

Roomy and low-lit, the place had a lot of Old World ambiance. There's a long table in the middle of the main dining area (seats maybe 18 ?) that's lit from below; pretty neat ! Service was excellent; Place is a little pricey but not outrageous.

The Warden ordered a glass of Cranberry Champagne, which she reported as putting a "Brand New Face" on the bubbly.
I went with their home-brewed Iced Tea, which was a reasonable interpretation of Sweet Tea, and a good-sized serving; I didn't need another.
The bread basket contained Artesan wheat MOP (made on premises) and packaged bread sticks, accompanied by a creamy chive butter, also MOP.
Now, how rare is MOP butter ??

We started with Fried Calamari, lightly crusted with Semolina, accompanied by fried zucchini sticks, also crusted. Two dipping sauces were offered; marinara and and a horsey cocktail sauce, both MOP. . Probably the best squid I've had outside of my own kitchen; there was plenty for two, and nothing remained..

We also shared a lettuce wedge, chilled Iceberg lettuce on a pond of fresh tomato-bacon "Salsa" (wonderful!) escorted by both Bleu Cheese
and Balsamic Vinaigrette. (the bleu cheese ended up as a dipping agent for the bread sticks; Great!)

The Warden' main course was Wood-roasted Duck topped with a Sicilian Orange sauce, Flambe'ed with Grand Marnier, served beside a Cheddar Potato Torte and Saute'ed Baby spinach with garlic and olive oil. (For me, this was the only "negative" throughout the meal; a bit too oily, and a bit too little garlic)
She had a very nice Pink Chardonnay with the duck.

I opted for the Cacciucco, (which is pretty much the Tuscan answer to Cioppino) which reatured huge prawns, clams, mussles, bay scallops, and salmon chunks, slow-cooked in a brothy Saffron Tomato sauce, over MOP noodles. The protion was huge, but I managed it, and the last of the bread soaked up that excellent sauce.
(I believe this was the first time ordering out that every mussel shell actually still had a critter inside).

Dessert was out of the question.

The tab was just under $100, that with a well deserved $20 gratuity, and with a gift card left from Christmas, the whole shebang was less than $50 out-of-pocket......Not too shabby, eh ?

We will definitely be going back !! There's a Crabmeat-Crusted Tilapia fillet I'd love to get a look at, and something called "Filet Sinatra"; Filet Mignon topped with Jumbo Lump Crab in a Cognac Cream Sauce.
