popcorn ?? Question

If I want three quarts of popped popcorn....

How much unpopped do I start with?


I'll be popping it in a little oil on the stove.

According to the bottle I've got, 1/2 cup = 3 to 5 quarts.

I'm not sure how that would help anyone.....

lol... I guess it depends on the size of the popped corn pieces.

Yep! Love corn nuts!!! Haven't had them in a very long time. Now I'm going to have to find some to munch on. :)

Trish I believe if you use a sauce pan with about that volume and put in just enough oil to cover the bottom. Heat the oil put in 3 or 4 kernels. When they pop, barely cover the bottom. Cover shake till hoping stops, you should be good to go. Nearly all should pop.

They all popped nicely. I didn't make enough though and have lots of sauce left. OH WELL... it'll be good warmed up and put on ice cream. :)
