4 Bean Salad

1 can (16 oz) green beans drained
1 can (16 oz) wax beans drained
1 can (16 oz) garbanzo beans, rinsed & drained
1 can (16 oz) kidney beans, rinsed & drained
1 medium size onion, sliced
2 stalks of celery, chopped
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup vegetable or corn oil
1 teaspoon salt

In a large bowl, combine all of the beans, onion and celery.
In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; stir until sugar dissolves.
Pour over bean mixture.
Cover & refrigerate overnight, stirring occasionally.

i was going through the cupboard and found a bunch of cans of various beans and figured i'd look for a recipe.

good recipe...

the only thing different i do is i add a red onion...just personal taste

A family summer favorite! I like the idea of adding garbanzos, Sass, thanks!

We use Vidalias or some other sweet onion, but I love red onions, too, Jeff.
