I found a recipe for an apple cranberry chutney using dried cranberries.... I have frozen and don't want to go out for dried.
Think this recipe would be ok if i used the fresh instead, and maybe just a little more sugar?

or this one?

if u are making a glaze, i would just boil them down a little like you were making cranberry sauce

so yes you can add a little more sugar but you want to break the actual berries down a little bit

when i make cranberry sauce, i follow the directions on the back of the pkg but instead of water, i use orange juice and i add small pieces of mandarin oranges or regular oranges

THANK YOU!!!
I almost just broke down and made pork chops and gravy!!
Gravy gets me in trouble....
:)

Gravy is pretty easy. You can even cheat and use a can of Cream of Mushroom soup with 3/4 can of water. Works great, and it picks up the taste of the meat nicely.

you know you can make a gravy substitute...

take low fat/low sodium stock from a container, bring to a boil, make a cornstarch slurry and seasonings, like gravy but not so bad for you....
