TRUTH !!
ABC's "Wide World of Sports showcased the daring motorcycle stunts of Evel
(born Robert Craig Knievel). After completing these stunts, Knievel would
utter his phrase during the interviews. One of his most famous feats was a
151 foot jump across the fountains in front of Caesar's Palace. This jump
resulted in a 30-day coma.
Knievel retired from "major performances" in 1976 after seriously injuring a
spectator.
Evel Knievel died in Clearwater, Florida, on November 30, 2007, aged 69. He had been suffering from diabetes and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis for many years. A longtime friend reported that Knievel had trouble breathing while at his residence in Clearwater, but died on the way to the hospital. "It's been coming for years, but you just don't expect it. Superman just doesn't die, right?"
