Saketini

This is my all-time favorite cocktail!

I could make it myself, but I only have it when I go to Napi's restaurant in Provincetown, MA ... once a year.

It's a shot of Grey Goose vodka in a martini glass, topped with warmed sake, garnished with a cucumber slice.

They serve the rest of the carafe of sake on the side, for each drink, so you just keep topping off your drink as you sip.

The cucumber infuses the drink.

Warms the cockles of even the coldest heart!

I DID make one of these tonight!

It was a cold, nasty, snowy, rainy, sleety day today. After working on my feet all day, I came home and shoveled out my parking space and sidewalk - each shovel-full weighing about a ton, and needing to be thrown in a pile about shoulder-high.

So, after stripping off my soaked clothing, and getting into my pjs and slippers, I took an ibuprophen for my aching back and made myself a warm, wonderful saketini!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
