Tonight is going to be breakfast for dinner.
I've got ground turkey sausage from the Amish market.

The stuff we purchased was made domestically and I didn't find it that spicy. Now I'm sure the stuff made in Calabria, using Calabrian chilis is pretty spicy. Just can't bring it back from a trip to Italy.

As ground turkey breakfast sausage goes, it was mighty tasty.
Was going to make some of Lucky's fried apples to go with, but didn't get that far.

I had green spinach, broccoli, and arugula pasta with a great sauce Tina made. Turkey meatballs, and luganega sausage.

Bread slice with clarified butter spread. Good!

Cottage cheese and peaches for dessert!

Had to see the cardiologist today. BP was good, and ECG was good.

Last Night's plate was 'Brown"....

Crab Cakes, Clam Strips and Calamari Rings, and Macaroni Salad with Green Pepper and a sliced Grape Tomato...

Made a big mistake; did the Calamari Rings in the rotating basket of the Air Fryer, which beat most of the breading off.... Boo !

Pretty much, it's made from Calabrian chilis. The recipe we used though really cooled it down, it was barely spicy, if at all. I told Craig next time I was making some adjustments on tomato and pasta water amounts.

They are very similar. We made pastelon once. It uses more cheese than what we made and the sofritos are a bit different. Basically, this was a picadillo layered with semi-ripe fried plantains.

Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic make versions of that dish and I'm sure many other countries do as well. We've made a version of that, Pastelon de Plantano Maduro. I've always wanted to try Puerto Rican mofongo.
