Re: Saturday Cooking

I have left over stew here..but we're doing errands all day so, maybe lunch out somewhere and just salad for dinner. Stew will last another day.

Re: Saturday Cooking

I'm grilling a tri tip roast over mesquite this evening....with some simple steamed rice and grilled vegis on the side.

Another nice weekend for outdoor cooking.

Re: Saturday Cooking

No cooking tonight. Delivery. There's a Lebanese restaurant I like. Maybe shwarma, falafel, eggplant salad or half a roasted stuffed chicken.

Re: Saturday Cooking

I made lentil and split pea soup with cornbread today. Tasted good on a chilly fall day.

Lou is mixing sazeracs.....:blob_blue:
First course is roasted marrow bones with gemolata and wilted spinach

Dinner is pan grilled loin of pork with sauteed carrots with peas, gala apple relish (or I may saute that too) and bacon mashed potatoes.

Pretty sure we're drinking a pinot noir tonight

Dessert is the last few slices of chocolate peanut butter cake.

Re: Saturday Cooking

Supper was at the Longhorn Steakplace..
I had a sirloin 7 oz. salad and a waxed potato with sour cream.
It was all great.
Oh! for a appitizer...we had these almost 2 foot long boats filled with fried baby shrimps with sliced hot peppers here and there, and some kind of dipping cream sauce with garlic taste. It was good, but the shrimp was like palming a load of cashews ( the little shrimps) and throwing them in the mouth like a whale eating plankton. Ha Ha Ha Ha .....

Now Monday...the kids are coming for supper for Italian something or other.
Son and DIL are in construction mode and don't have a kitchen. DIL has been kooking on the grill, and she said it's a pain trying to boil water.

Re: Saturday Cooking

Last night we just enjoyed takeout - terrific gooey cheesey Chicken Parm sub sandwiches from our favorite little local Italian place.
