Peeps, it looks VERY edible! Sometimes things taste really good even if they don't look like a magazine photo. But I do understand - I have days when nothing seems to turn out exactly the way I hoped it would. Last night was one of those times, as a matter of fact. The only thing I really liked about that dinner was the tortillas, which I managed to get VERY thin by standing on a step stool and putting lots of weight on the tortilla press!

Tonight's dinner is not going to win any prizes, either. It tasted OK: clean-out-the refrigerator beef stew. I put mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, potatoes, celery, onions, garlic and beef in it...I think it would have been better without the mushrooms and zucchini. But I wanted to use them up. I did get a good deep fond from browning the meat, though. The homemade bread was good, too.

Poor Peeps - now I suppose you have to go to the dentist and get your crown repaired....hope it doesn't hurt too much!

Thank you Karen. I want some beef stew!! It looks YUMMY! I always put mushrooms in my stew if I have them. I put all those things in my stew except zukes which I rarely have. I don't buy them often. I like them stuffed like peppers sometimes.

Boneless beef roasts are on sale this week maybe I will buy a bottom round and cube it for stew and soup.

Yeah I can add that to the list of other health issues I don't want to deal with. LOL

it looks gloppy because of the brown rice and the lighting, but it was good.

i also had a side of oshinko (pickled veggies)

I was busy making an orange cake, so I just threw together a mac & cheese. Sorry, no pics, but it was aged white cheddar and monterey jack in a bechamel over elbows. Baked in the oven with a bread crumb topping. Tasty but easy.
