the theory was to buy a turkey breast. our Giant has the complete "two breasts" package - $25, umpteen pounds - just not a realistic buy for us.
so I picked up a Jennie-O oven to freezer boneless roast - thingie in a roasting bag etc etc
estimate was 1 hour 40 minutes at 375'F - this is what it looked like:
the gravy was horrible - absolutely inedible. fortunately had the presence of mind to spoon taste it in the pot before putting it on the dish - just tossed it.
wound up slicing off and roasting a couple thick slabs on a rack - the pix was taken at two hours roasting time.
exterior was tough and stringy - the meat was passable if you cut off all the exterior.
in short - $12 poorly spent; do not go there.....
