Salmon With Spice Rub

2 nice sized salmon fillets
1 T olive oil

Rub

2 T brown sugar
2 T paprika
2 T salt
1 1/2 t black pepper
1/2 t thyme
a pinch of coriander, cumin and cayenne pepper

Heat oil in frying pan over medium high heat.
Season fillets with the rub and place in pan.
Sear on both sides for 2 minutes.
Remove and place in glass baking dish and bake at 350 for 5 minutes.

If you can find it, either McCormick or Durkee makes (made) a Citrus Spice blend.

Mix that and Cajun spice 50/50, then into a 1/4 cup of olive oil. Let it sit for a while,
then use as a marinade on salmon. Then bake or grill... is really good spice combo for
salmon!

That recipe looks good too! Never thought of searing then baking the fish.
