Should grown adults drink milk? Besides vitamin D (that you can get from other various sources) is there a true health benifit, or does it just make you fat?

On the biggest loser last week they showed just how much milk really does help adults to get healthy and fit. One glass of fat free milk is only 80 calories and has a lot of important protiens... here is a link to the site and a quote from the page:
"Including 24 ounces a day of lowfat or fat free milk in your diet a day can help you get the calcium and nutrients your body needs when watching calories, plus the protein helps build muscle. "

I would assume that if it's helpful when you're dieting, it would be helpful when you're not dieting as well... but then again, I could be wrong :hide:

No Fat milk, is that also called skim milk? I'm asking more about Vitamin D or 2% milk.

I don't know if it is good or bad but I have a glass of 2% at breakfast almost every morning.
