Asian Ginger Dressing

3 cloves garlic minced
2 tblsp minced fresh ginger
3/4 cup sesame oil
1/3 cup rice vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp honey
1/4 cup water
1 tblsp roasted sesame seeds.

Put all together in pint or bigger glass jar.
Shake it like you mean it to dissolve honey (if needed heat in microwave for minute, but I haven't found this to be required)

This dressing is GOOD. If you have an Asian market near by you can get all the ingredients on the CHEAP, and have better quality than store bought "Asian" dressings.

This can also be one heckuva good steak and other meat marinade.

Thanks! My wife likes the $5.00 a bottle ginger dressing,
maybe this will be an acceptable substitute!

Sounds delicious, phreak!

I just need to buy a fresh finger of ginger, since I have everything else.

Honestly I have made it with ground/powdered ginger and it still tastes better than the $5 a bottle store bought stuff!

BTW the original recipe is from allrecipes. It called for olive oil...I thought...really, an Asian dressing with olive oil??? LOL. So I substituted sesame oil, because after all it is an Asian dressing, and after all I buy sesame oil by the gallon from an Asian market for WAY less than I pay for EVO.

Another note, I would NOT use roasted sesame oil. That may be a little too potent. I have used a splash of roasted, and the rest just standard sesame.
