Fischer is considered one of the best chess players of all time; some put
him at the top of the heap. He swept the 1964 U.S. Championship at age
twenty. He had been named a Grandmaster when he was fifteen. Fischer won the
U.S. Championship eight times out of nine tries from 1958 to 1967.
In 1958, when Fischer took a Stanford-Binet (IQ) test at the age of 15, his
score was 180-187
