Hamburger Parmesan

Oil for browning
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 tbs. fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. Mrs. Dash Extra-Spicy (Red-Top)
flour
dry Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
2 eggs, beaten
6 slices Monterey Jack (or Mozzarella) cheese
1-15 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
2 tbs. grated Parmesan cheese

Mix Spaghetti sauce and mushroom slices
(you could just use a spaghetti and mushroom sauce, but there's more 'shrooms this way)
Mix beef with next four ingredients.
Form into 6 patties.
Coat both sides of each patty with flour
Dip in egg, and coat well with bread crumbs.
Heat the oil in a large skillet and fry the patties in two batches; fry till browned on both sides.

Arrange the patties in a 9x13−inch baking pan.
Top each patty with a slice of cheese. Pour spaghetti sauce / mushroom mix evenly over all and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake, uncovered at 400F for 25 minutes.
Serves three in our house !
