What's for Dinner, Monday, Oct. 26?

Might have some smothered pork chops with gravy, rice and a vegetable.

Saw Aaron (Big Daddy) McCargo Jr. make that yesterday on his show, and I've been having a taste for it since!! Haven't had it for eons!

Hey, Sherm. I've got a gravy recipe around here somewhere that's pretty good with chops if you're so inclined... Do a search on bacon gravy and using my name.
 
Thanks. Don't have any bacon, but i DO have some panchetta.

I just make old fashioned gravy from a roux and the drippings and bits left in the pan, ad some water & onions to it, season it lightly, ad a few drops of KB or GM, let it simmer gently and that's the best gravy that you could ever have! Delish!!

So how did it taste, Mini? I usually consume my beef, beer and chocolate separately.

Somewhere under all these veggies is a sausage sub waiting to happen.

Ray, I think that dinner looks perfectly scrumptious, oh and Fred, can't wait to see what that gorgeous combination looks like on dee bun bun.

Well it seems like such a waste just to cut up one toe... seeing as how the knife and a couple fingers get sticky and all :smile:

I was a little disappointed that they didn't have the flounder dinner any longer at Capt. D's.. however.. I got the Deluxe Seafood Platter. :-)
Then proceeded to spend way too much $$$$ at Bath and Body and Macy's.
Ughh!
 
Well, my dinner was pretty good. I should have added some salt to the broth while the meat was cooking. It pulled easily. I thought I had some Ranch Beans, but was mistaken. I ended up getting some tortillas and cheese, but my kids were more wanting just the tortillas, the meat, and BBQ sauce.

I'm still waiting... Trying to decide on how I want to do the bun & cheese.

OH LORD THAT LOOKS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!! i can almost smell that sauce and shrooms. i hope you added some red wine but it looks to red. i would eat that out of bowl and dip the crusty bread/bun. oooooooooooo yummy!!
 
lol, thanks peeps, actually I added some Marsala I picked up for Fryboy's chicken fricassee thing. Probably just the lighting. Gotta say though, I probably should have added the port. The Marsala tastes a bit sweeter than I like my sauce.
