72 degrees....partly sunny.....
I was watering the plants in the front yard, and P O W !!.... the pocket hose, ( as seen on tv )....blew right in half! ..... Now it's the pocket hose, as seen in the garbage can.

Supposed to be in the low 70's all the rest of the week.

We're in for a week of nice, cooler weather following the storms.
Today is to be a high of 70 and overcast.

We got hit with a Rip-Snorter yesterday during dinner .... if it were winter it would have been a blizzard..........

Tore up the canopy on the swing, blew over a five-foot potted Palm.

I'm surprised that the swing wasn't blown over, as it was ripped out of its horizontal position....... water in the basement...... the second time in 20 years...

Any danger to your kingdom, Johnny ?

No, not so far. At present it's 91 and hazy. It was reported our air quality is the same as Beijing and won't let up till Monday. We need the high over WY to leave and get a push of marine air in off the Pacific. I grew up in hot summer weather and lived in D.C. but now I'm spoiled with Pac NW coolness. I'll be happy to see it back in the 70's.

I got up about 2:30 to check on Hurricane Harvey. It made landfall in Rockport. It was a Cat 4 but was downgraded to a 3 last I checked. It's still whirling around and predicted to stall and drop an enormous amt of rain. Pretty scary :(.

Well, weather predicted a dusting, maybe an inch of accumulation ......

So, far, three inches and counting !:blush::blush:

Working from home, in the middle of a rotten blizzard today.

The snow is deep, but light enough for me to shove open my front door, stick out my arm and take a picture of my neighbor's and my cars.

Fortunately, I: a) have power (knock on wood), and b) have guys I pay to shovel out my car and me.

We ended up with six inches, short of the seven that was predicted by day's end......
My son who's down close to Atlantic City reports about twelve........

Wow Lee. Hope your power stayed on.
Thankfully no additional snow here. Plenty of low temps, but we are up to 19 today. Heat wave. Forecast guesses we will be above freezing Sunday or Monday, but with more snow expected.

Wonder how much snow Saliha is seeing.

I miss the snow. Two weeks ago we 4 inches but it melted quickly. Today will be in the 50's, cherries are in bloom, as well as daffodils.

Drab and grey again.
I spied some daffodils peeking out of the soil while stopped at a traffic light the other day.
Nothing like that on our property, yet!

It's all pines,sycamores..just about any type of tree native to the area.

I may as well bump this one up!

H U M I D I T Y .....way way up there! 69 degrees, and 89% humidity.

Mommy is yelling that she's freezing, so I fixed that. I put a curtain to block the doorway to the living room fro the kitchen, and I flipped on the window unit in the kitchen, and the one in the dining room.

Now I can breath, and Mommy could sweat. ( her choice ).
Guarantee by 10PM....she cries that it's too hot, and she will have me put the central air on. :sun3:

I was right.... 9:30 Tina Mommy woke up from her nap; looking at ME, like I was the one that put a curse on her to make her hot, and cranky.....
Right away I heard... click ....woosh! The A/C was turned on.
That'll stop when she sees the bill we got from First Energy, for last months electrical usage. And it wasn't that hot yet to speak of! $267.00 Just for 1 month!
