Thunderstorm is pounding at the moment.

Not sure about dinner but lunch was:

Two ears of White corn in the Instant Pot
Trivet in pot with 1 cup hot water
Corn - husk on trimmed just to kernels
Place corn on trivet
Steam, HP, 4 minutes, QR
Slipped out of husk, seasoned with butter, salt and pepper. It was sweet as sugar!

I also prepped my ribs for tomorrow.
Dry rubbed and resting in a Ziploc bag in fridge. They will be smoked and grilled (or broiled if weather is bad) tomorrow.

Florida Corn On the Cob.

Gonna prep the pork ribs for tomorrow. George Foreman Big "G" on the deck and let them cook slow 5 hrs and low .... 250F.

I don't think it's available from Amazon at the moment.

I'm going to use my stove top smoker to smoke the ribs then either onto the grill or under broiler the finish.
I wrap the ribs in that non-stick Reynolds foil tightly.
Then in a pan that comes with the "Big G" .....

I just made Gorton's crunchy frozen fish sticks and romaine walnut salad.
It wasn't photogenic.

Shredded chuck roast, whipped red potatoes (butter, cream cheese, 1/2 & 1/2, salt and pepper), steamed fresh broccoli & carrots, and mushroom and onion au jus.

tho we would hafta show my Mom ways to cook-- my Dad knew via his mind--
my Mom cannot cook-- could swear, i'm not her's

All desserts made by DD the baker.
I burnt the ribs, because DD was having a hissy fit prepping the burgers. I got side tracked......

Today it was leftover burgers for supper. B O Rrrrr I N G !

No,but I should have.... this is my first go-round with Kale.... just a butter dance,,,,,, I'll know better next time..... it was just not very tasty...:bonk:

We like the baby kale (or baby kale and baby spinach blend, they call it juicing greens) sautéed in the pan fond from meats (smoked ham/smoked pork chop fond is the best) with some butter and smoked olive oil and a bit of water to loosen the fond or just sautéed in the pan with some butter and smoked olive oil (Trader Joe's is brand is really good).

Try the baby kale. It's less tough and more delicate in flavor. We like it fried or sautéed.

We had a banchan once that was chopped up pretty small kale, steamed and flavored with sesame oil. Only time I have ever liked kale.

I had a bunless burger with hot banana pepper rings, mozzarella & tomato dressed with vinaigrette.
