I had a Marie Callender's turkey, mash and stuffing dinner (for 2/shareable it says).
Nada, are you kidding me?

Anywho, the stuffing was good, very moist and sagey.
The turkey was, well.. turkey meat, real meat.. white ..
I think they should slice it differently, thin slices, like turkey dinner is supposed to look?
I get the company wanting to possibly have it ready - served in bite size pieces, but that's why God made knives, we can cut the meat ourselves.
The potatoes were more of a whipped, very heavy on the black pepper, and I like pepper but geez!

Too much moisture, which I expect was from "vent the top corner" before baking.
IF (that's a big IF) I ever buy this again, I'll bake it with the top removed.
All in all it was good.
I'll give it an 8.5 out of 10.
Would have been a 9 if the gravy and steam hadn't turned the mash into a river. Lol

Dinner from Hell ... Phone kept ringing, and I bit off a little too much to begin with, and trying to keep on schedule with a phone in one hand is a near impossibility...

I had put a piece of pork loin into brine and had plans for dinner, but the closer it got to dinner, the less I felt like cooking as today was just not a good day. So, told Craig I was sorry but just didn't feel like cooking. He asked what should we order. Told him I didn't really care so he suggested Greek. We got spanikopita and tzatziki for apps, moussaka for Craig, a gyro platter for me and Galaktobouriko for dessert.

Drained the brine from the loin and put it back in the fridge for tomorrow.

Food shopping day.

Brunch was a little of each - fried chicken breast, rotisserie chicken and salad.

My dinner was 2 homemade tacos & fresh popped Orville Redenbacher salted & buttered popcorn.

And DD has 2 lbs of hot wings in the air fryer.
I may just pass, and have supper tomorrow.

glad you liked it! I like to do really thick slices - like 3/4" when the garden is making 'the real thing'

fishmonger had some near still swimming walleye - done up with a saltine&seasoning mini crust and some roasted reds....

Yeah, I can't wait until the real tomatoes come back to farmers market.
Also, I too like the saltine crust on my fish.
Thanks for the reminder.

Med, your pork looks delicious.

Ninja has a Tonkotsu ramen dish on their Miso Kitchen menu.
I may order that for carry in dinner tonight, along with a few of their appetizers.

Bacon (using craig's home cured bacon) and asparagus quiche with a purchased fresh fruit salad as the side. Cheeses were imported Swiss and Fontina.

Pugs got pastry dough scraps brushed with bacon grease as treats.
