I am thinking of buying scallops for the family. As I don't eat them and have never bought them I need advice.

Please no debates.

Here is a Sale Add for "Dry, Day Boat, 10 to 20 ct., Never Frozen" scallops.
Is it a good sale price? Is the regular price good?

That's in line with what I pay down here, except sometimes Acme will offer them for a sale price of 11.99, but not VERY often....
I usually go five scallops per serving, but now that I'm alone, my new serving portion is eight !

Yes, it's a good price.

The only time I've ever bought dry scallops (no additives), they were on sale for $13.99, so I grabbed 5 or 6 for myself.

They sear beautifully!

Go get 'em, Peep!

Thank you everyone.
I feel a little silly. I was looking at last weeks sale circular . So I missed out on the sale by one day. They repeat sales so I will keep an eye out for another sale on scallops. Hopefully it will be close to a holiday.
