I heard that this is the latest craze in pizza toppings. I saw some at the store, and was thinking about making a pizza with it. Any input?

I eat it with cheese and crackers all the time. It's fattier, less spicy than pepperoni. A nice sharp cheddar or some good olives cuts the fat a bit.

it's very tasty stuff - I like to use a very thin slice on stuff like a ham sandwich. I always get it very very thinly sliced - I'm sorta' known as
"oh, oh. it's that 0-2 on the dial guy . . ."

be aware - it can be a bit 'stringy' - it would do a pizza proud but I'd dice or julienne into strips so it doesn't pull the rest of the pizza onto your lap....

ps: it comes in hot/spicy and sweet - I like the sweet better but then again I'm not a big 'hot stuff' fan

The Soppressata was very good! It was mild, but meaty. Not spicy like pepperoni, and not too salty like other kinds of salami. I don't think it will replace pepperoni for me, but it's definitely worth trying.
