You're right, Q-Sis. It is Crawdads instead of Crawfish.

I finished it this morning and just loved every minute of it. I hope you'll give it a try. It's pure genius how she weaves details of...

Re: What's on the plate, Sunday, May 26, to Saturday, June 1, 2019?

Thanks, Sass :)

I didn't get a pic of the squash/tomato thing when it came out of the oven. It looked basically the same, just a little browner.

Instead of chicken, I ended up cooking...

Made corn relish yesterday and had it on some toasted baguette rounds topped with port wine cheese, some leftover squash, and a leftover stuffed tomato:

Re: What Are We Eating Easter Sunday April 21 - Saturday 27

LT, I guess I've retired my Fry Daddy too, haven't used it in more than a year.

Skipped lunch today, so very early dinner: frozen crab cake, which was pretty good, stuffed baked tomato, which was...

Re: Let's Talk ... Sauces, Dips, Gravies Etc.

Did not like the Lemon Dill Caper Finishing Sauce:

Re: Let's Talk ... Sauces, Dips, Gravies Etc.

I tried the Boom Boom sauce on fish tacos and really liked it. I'm pretty sure it's too hot for you, Q-Sis. If I remember correctly, you can't even do mild Rotel, so it's probably a big no-go for...

Re: New Toy In-House

If Nate told you how he prepared/cooked those coconut shrimp, I sure would like to know too. They look great! If they were frozen, I'd like to know the brand.

Re: Let's Talk ... Sauces, Dips, Gravies Etc.

These may not count because they're bottled sauces. I bought some Lemon Dill Caper Finishing Sauce that I'm going to try on Salmon. It looks really good, kind of like a hollandaise or bearnaise...

Re: What's Cooking Sunday March 17 -> Saturday March 23

I use the Louisiana Fish Fry all the time. It's flour and corn flour, which is great for fish and shrimp. For fish I cut it with cornmeal.

Not sure about the Shrimp Fry mix, but I'm pretty sure...

Re: What are you doing today?

Not much going on today. I was watching the news this morning, and Jax (cat) was playing in his favorite chair, which has a hanging furry ball on a stretchy string from the side. Both cats have...
