Re: How many of you have THIS accessory for your KA bowl-lift stand mixer?

I have a couple of the old style water jackets. Never really used them much. They were necessary when using the vintage colander and seive set as they catch the puree.

Finally got the collards, swiss chard, mustard, mesculan lettuce, spinach, radishes, and carrots in yesterday. There is still a little room, so we may be putting in a few extra things.

And hooray!...

They will have to wait on...

Re: What's in your garden 2012?

On Sunday I planted a pear tree, a crabapple tree, two plum trees, potatoes, and half of the huge amount of onions sets I bought.

I also temporarily planted the wild strawberry plants I bought...

Re: You Will Never Believe What I Am Forced To Do!

Of course I forgive her....I love her. I understand what she wants and why, but I just wanted to give niecy the best of everything.

I want to feel a warm connection that is missing through the...

Re: You Will Never Believe What I Am Forced To Do!

Thank you so much for your support! It means a lot to me.

Re: You Will Never Believe What I Am Forced To Do!

I was so disappointed I told my cousin Jeff about it. He pounced immediately and called dibs on the Le Creuset cookware.

Jeff is thrilled to get it, and I am glad I don't have to look at it...

Re: You Will Never Believe What I Am Forced To Do!

Yes, I was just so excited to be able to inexpensively get niecy such a nice set of cookware.

Then, I felt disappointed like a child deprived of her candy.

Re: What's in your garden 2012?

I decided not to do any extra work every year. A couple of years ago, I bought steel fence posts and wire cattle panels, and put permanent trellises down the middle of each of my raised beds.

Re: KA dough hook

I wouldn't buy the 7qt mixer. On EGullet, it has very "mixed" reviews.

Re: KA dough hook

The reason the spiral hook won't work on some mixers is that on the ones that can handle it, it is due to having the section of the mixer where the attachment goes reinforced to handle the...

My buddy Mixfinder did a side by side comparison using my old KA model G with the "c" hook, and his super duper new KA 620 with the spiral hook -- making dinner rolls.

His test did not show a...
