Saw a reference to “Senate Bean Soup” in a book and here’s what I found. Both my Grandmother and Mom prepared navy and pinto beans with ham hock and onions. I had no idea that the Senate kitchen...

Back then the programs were much more about the food and preparation than putting on a show. There were entertaining aspects but the food was number one.

Same here.

I was born and raised in North Central Texas, cattle and oil country. Lot of the outside action and scenery from Pioneer Woman remind me of home. Some of the recipes are good too. ...
