I agree we have this set and we're very happy with them...between this set and our mismash of cast iron we have tossed all the "non-stick" junk.

Any kind of wood will do, but I tend to stick with the lighter tasting woods...I've been hooked on Pecan lately. You really don't want to smoke them too long, it will dry out the outside and create...

You are correct. Sorry about that, I misread and didn't realize you want to grow sprouts, not sprout and start plants.

I've had good luck with taking a toilet paper roll, cutting it in half then filling with some jiffy style peat pellets that I break up(obviously a good potting mix or just straight peat would...

I do kind of a cross between Joe's and Qsis's. If it's cool enough out I'll smoke the eggs a little prior to pickling..that takes them to a whole new level of deliciousness.

Asian Ginger Dressing

3 cloves garlic minced
2 tblsp minced fresh ginger
3/4 cup sesame oil
1/3 cup rice vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp honey
1/4 cup water

Every winter when it gets cold enough to cold smoke, I make it a point to smoke a couple cups of kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper. It can add a nice dimension to dishes without using that...

I never rinse black beans from a can because all the Cuban restaurants locally seem to have a sauce that resembles the sauce in the can. One tip for good black beans...sofrito.
